The Danish cable-company has expanded their failities – now it´s time to hire employees to continue the growth.

The business has progressed steadily the pat 16 years. The latest expansion of the production area to 800 m2 was a necessity. During the last couple of years they´ve invested in new machines and new products, but the limited shop floor area has limited the possibilities for development.

-Our business within cable and thermelt moulding will be optimized due to the extra space. Especially the thermelt moulding is an extensive part of the business, which is why we have chosen to establish a section only for moulding, says Jan Petersen from Leverandøren.

-Last year we invested in a new “STM” Hot-melt moulding machine, which means that we can work with much bigger castings and it is a substantial expansion of the production capacity, he states.

Due to the doubling of the production area, it is now possible for Jan Petersen to focus on further growth for the company. Because while others moan due to the the repercussions of the financial crises growth is still of great importance at Leverandøren A/S.

-There is no crisis here. Our clientele is solid founded wide, which means that while business have stagnated at some customers, business has been growing at others. At the moment it is the windmill industry and the city metering – electric powerconsumption businesses, that are in the lead. Due to the latter we have invested in automatic machines for mounting cable bootlaces – both insulated and non-insulated. This enables us to comply with the demands from large customers as DONG and Energi Midt, says Jan Petersen.

However, there is no capital investments in the near future, it is on the other hand the need for more employees in the production at the business in Glesborg, that requires focus.

-Now the hardware is in place, and in the time to come, it is necessary to focus on employing more man-power. Right now, we employ about 20 people on the shop floor, we aim to expand with six or seven more within the next year, Jan Petersen concludes.
